Latest User Reviews:RegExp Rename CommentsI was trying to remove the prefixes from a bunch (1000) files...something like rt___filesubject.pdf and had a few "problems" which occurred as I type the "rt___" in. Seems after a few of the characters, the new name column reverted back to the original name. Is this indicateive of the rename pattern causing duplicate filenames? There really wasn't any way for me to tell quickly as the qty was so high... You can contact 12noon directly for support via the 12noon Web site's Support page for details. May not uninstall.I found the program interesting, but a bit awkward to use. I'm looking for a good replacement of mrename (which doesn't work on vista). I thought this would be the ticket, since both use regular expressions, but it wasn't nearly as intuitive in terms of ease of setting up the expressions. What really concerns me though (and what had me come here to write a review) is that when I uninstalled it from my vista machine, it reported that the program had been removed, but in fact it has left unwanted remnants. There is a .dll file left in the original installation directory (and no amount of "authorizing" will allow me to remove it from vista). Also, the entry in the right-click menu remains. Since the option to uninstall went away when vista thought it had unistalled the program, it looks like I am stuck with these problems indefinitely. So, user beware! Social bookmarks: RSS:
